Alvaro Villacorta currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Tritemius VC and Managing Partner at Giants Venture Capital, where the focus is on investments in innovative technologies related to Web3 through Tritemius Fund I, FCRE.

In his previous role, Alvaro held the position of Managing Director at Demium Capital SGEIC and served as the fund manager for Think Bigger Fund I, FCRE. During this tenure, he successfully initiated and raised a €50 million fund, overseeing investments in over 100 companies. In recognition of his achievements, he earned the distinction of being the most active venture capitalist in Southern Europe in 2021. Alvaro has been actively involved in portfolio management since 2018, playing a key role in negotiations for acquisitions and secondary sales from the sell side, with a notable top sale at a valuation of €120 million.

Since 2015, Alvaro has demonstrated his commitment to fostering technological innovation by engaging as a seed investor, making personal investments in 20 technology companies. His interest in the Blockchain-Crypto-Web3 space intensified after discovering Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2016.

Before transitioning to his current role in venture capital, Alvaro founded and led two successful startups, namely Food Messenger and Hello Givers. Food Messenger, a food delivery platform, was acquired by Rocket Internet in 2015. Post-acquisition, Alvaro launched Foodora in Spain, a venture backed by Rocket Internet.
Hello Givers, a home care startup for seniors, found success with its acquisition by medicalservice.care in 2020.

Alvaro's professional journey began as an Architect in an esteemed architecture and design studio in London, and he holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Navarra.
